[Catholic church accused of using 'mafia-like' tactics to fight sex abuse bill: Pennsylvania church accused of using ‘mob boss approach’ to pressure lawmakers who support bill giving victims of abuse more time to sue abusers by Stephanie Kirchgaessner New York] :eek:linger: "The Catholic church in Pennsylvania has been accused of employing “mafia-like” tactics in a campaign to put pressure on individual Catholic lawmakers who support state legislation that would give victims of sexual abuse more time to sue their abusers.

The lobbying campaign against the legislation is being led by Philadelphia archbishop Charles Chaput, a staunch conservative who recently created a stir after inadvertently sending an email to a state representative Jamie Santora, in which he accused the lawmaker of “betraying” the church and said Santora would suffer “consequences” for his support of the legislation. The email was also sent to a senior staff member in Chaput’s office, who was apparently the only intended recipient.

The email has infuriated some Catholic lawmakers, who say they voted their conscience in support of the legislation on behalf of sexual abuse victims. One Republican legislator, Mike Vereb, accused the archbishop of using mafia-style tactics...." Full text: Pennsylvania Catholic church using 'mafia-like' tactics to fight sex abuse bill Mt 7:20

They don't want 40 year old victims coming forward, In my state the victim has 20 years from their 18th birthday to file charges.

We are saved by grace alone (Eph 2:8-9), through faith ALONE (Eph 1:13; 2Ti 1:10), in Christ alone (Isa 45:21,22; 59:16; Ac 4:12).
Now go ahead and indicate precisely where the words "faith ALONE" appear in either of your proof-texts above. Post your proof.

Roman Catholics deny this.
Only your unbiblical insertion of the word "ALONE" into the two proof-texts used above. The rest is thoroughly Catholic. Unless you can show us exactly where the word "alone" appears in either Eph. 1:13 or 2 Tim. 1:10...? Let's have it, then.

(Wait for it...)

 As a reminder, Cruciform is a grace-perverter :eek:linger: (Gal. 1:6–8), bound by traditions (Mt 15:9) and deceitful in all his ways (Eph. 4:14).

Mt 7:6

"Roman Catholicism vs. historical, biblical Christianity: "We have different authorities, we believe different gospels, we worship different Christs, we are led by different spirits and we are on different paths to eternity. Compare this with the unity the apostle Paul described with those who are in one body and one ......Spirit, with one hope; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, on God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all (Eph 4:4-6)..." Jn 8:37 Mt 7:6
Note that serpent utterly failed to indicate precisely where the word "alone" is used in either of his supposed proof-texts in Post #12---in fact, he didn't even bother trying to do so. Thus, his claim that the apostles taught "faith ALONE" is itself entirely unbiblical, and must be rejected out of hand.

The Roman Catholic Church is an apostate church (Re 3:14-18). :burnlib:

"It's an infallible dogma of the church--that if you believe you are justified by faith alone then you are condemned--you are anathema...

They don't believe that Jesus finished the work of redemption. When Jesus bowed his said and said 'It is finished' and gave up his spirit--Catholics believe he really meant to say it must now continue. Because what they do through the beck and call of the priest they call Jesus back down from heaven every day 200,000 times a day through the miracle of transubstantiation. They transform the inner substance of wafers into the physical body and blood, soul and divinity of Christ; the priest will lift up the wafer for Catholics to worship this as their true savior. He's laid on the alter to be represented as a sacrificial offering. It is another offering denying again the scriptures that say Jesus offered himself once for all time and for all sin..." Vid. See post 3 and 4 for your defeat
:darwinsm:... Exactly how do you imagine that Post #3---which I myself wrote---in any way "defeats" me"? And serpent's Post #4 is a useless pool of word vomit. You have precisely nothing.

Back to Posts #13 and #15.
