From the article:

David Bowie has died after a battle with cancer, his representative confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief,” read a statement posted on the artist’s official social media accounts.

According to the article, David had a peaceful passing. I, for one, will continue to enjoy his music and movies.

Feel free to pay your respects to David here.

I was never a Bowie fan. I'm just not a glam-rock kind of guy. But his music did speak to and for a lot of people that I've known and loved, and for that we should all be grateful. Because he did his job as an artist, and he did it pretty well considering all the people who's lives his music has blessed.

So, R.I.P. David Bowie.

Well, to be fair Pure he did a lot more than just glam rock throughout his career. As it progressed he adorned and innovated within a variety of different styles as trends changed, worked with different producers, technology, electronica and kept producing right until the end.

To be fair I'm not into glam rock in the slightest either but the more experimental side, but it's his mark as an innovator through the decades that stands him out as a 'popular artist'. :)

Bowie was certainly influential in a variety of ways. Bob Dylan was influenced by Dylan Thomas and then influenced the music business in a different way to Bowie. The world is a far better place for such people however they do it or whatever they do, even if they don't exactly lead perfect lives.
Of course on the other side we have the likes of Naz and aCW, oh well. :AMR:

Was he saved? Or hell bound?

Don't know. Don't care. This thread is a tribute to David Bowie. Feel free to make your own thread if you have nothing positive to add to the discussion.
