Is there any obvious evidence today for the biblical global Flood?

You're welcome to believe what you like, but the "waters above the firmament" became Seas, if you follow what is said closely.

Because it's illogical. That's why.
Nah, it was only the waters gathered below that were called seas.

Genesis 1 ESV
(7) And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.
(8) And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
(9) And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so.
(10) God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Actually that's perfectly reasonable I think. What better way to freeze something quickly than to immediately pack it in an endless supply of ice?

Blast freezing is the process of pushing cold air at high velocity across a food product in order to freeze the product as quickly as possible. Blast freezers come in a variety of configurations, from single-load freezers that freeze batches of products, to “continuous” freezers such as tunnel freezers that continuously freeze product as it moves through the freezer on a conveyer belt.

The primary goal in blast freezing is fast freeze times. Fast freeze times are important for a number of reasons – the most obvious being production efficiency – getting the most production out of the least amount of production space is important in every industry. However, the most compelling motivation is the economics of quality. High quality food products can be pushed into high price markets, but low quality products are left to the low price markets – plain and simple. Blast freezing is an effort on the part of frozen food producers to preserve as much of the quality as was present in the raw product as possible in order to position their products before the type of customers that are willing to pay the most for the very best quality

Yes, the only thing is, if HPT is true, then what are called the seas in Genesis One are not "the seven seas" that we have today. They must have been large lakes, if HPT is true.

Verse 9 in particular is clearly talking about the surface of the earth.

That is the water above the expanse. The water below the expanse is under the crust.

My thought just came from having experienced getting hit in the face with a snowblower's discharge. What is just snow sitting on the ground is one thing, but when it is pummeling you, it sucks heat out of you like nobody's business. So I thought, what if this is what happened to this creature? If you continually refresh ice then you're always passing fresh ice over the same surface, and each particle of ice is going to remove some heat and then immediately be replaced by more fresh ice, that will remove still more heat, etc., etc., until the poor creature is completely frozen because all its heat is gone.

That was the thought. Apparently it's wrong, but that's where it came from. :)

Blast freezing with super-cold air does not need snow or ice to freeze meat in record time.

During the flood, there was no such "blast".
Frozen Alaskan muck covers flattened tropical trees by as much as 2,000' in places. The trees were flattened by a sudden dump of a massive volume of floodwaters which then froze the entire depth. Hydroplate theory does not totally explain the freezing of tropical waters of those depths by the earth rolling over off its axis and being pelted with hail from outer space.

But it does require man-made equipment (although, I don't think too many blast freezers will hold a mammoth).

Your rescue devices are getting more and more absurd.
Creationist scientists claim volcanic eruptions spewed matter into space where it is extremely cold - cold enough to instantly freeze large mammals like the elephant and mammoth. If air and matter were spewed into space from earth then likely super cold temperatures from space were forced down to earth at the same time freezing the air and everything the air blasted.

The floodwaters did not freeze anything. But the extremely cold hail that came down from the upper atmosphere did.

Where do get your crazy ideas? Like this one: "the freezing of tropical waters of those depths".

What "depths"? What "topical waters"?

The HPT explains everything quite well as opposed to your mythological water canopy.

You're so confused that it's funny. It was NOT "volcanic eruptions" that "spewed matter into space where it is extremely cold". It was the BURSTING of the crust of the entire planet.

The least that you could do is educate yourself a little instead of just making foolish claims.

Which doesn't make any sense anyways according to the text, which says that the waters above the firmament became Seas, the firmament of day 2 being something different than the "firmament of the heavens" of day 4.
Even with your reading, this isn't true.
Genesis 1:9-10 (KJV) 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven (remember he had just defined "firmament" as "heaven", which you say was the earth's crust and now he's using the word as defined) be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry [land] appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry [land] Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that [it was] good.

What tropical waters? The warm waters that flattened the tropical trees at the bottom of 2,000' of frozen Alaskan muck.

I believe the "bursting of the crust" spewed volcanic debris into space.
