Is there a risk of death from the covid vaccine?

How many people believed masks are effective in stopping the flow of covid particles?
You lie - masks are effective.

You almost invariably do this - almost every post of yours is either an outright lie or something that effectively cashes out to be a lie when one digs into the details.

The truth is that the evidence strongly suggests that masks are effective.

That depends on how one analyzes the propaganda. Some say there is no connection between covid vaccines and the deaths of those who died shortly after receiving the vaccine. There are others who say we should take the vaccine for everyone else's benefit if not for our own. There are others who say the government should shut down and/or restrict the movements of those who refuse to take the vaccine. But what are the facts?

I found this. People dying from unknown causes shortly after taking the vaccine while officials supporting the government narratives insist they see no apparent link between the vaccine and the resulting deaths.

Here are quotes:

A few countries have reported deaths following administration of COVID-19 vaccines, but medical specialists have found no evidence of a connection to the inoculations.

Norwegian officials were the first to report people dying after being inoculated, saying in mid-January that 33 people age 75 and older had died a short time after receiving the COVID vaccine from Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE.

The U.K.’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency reported that as of Jan. 24, there were 143 deaths shortly after injections with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and another from AstraZeneca Plc, mainly in elderly people or those with underlying illness, and that there’s no suggestion the vaccines played a role.

And in the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that as of Feb. 7, there were 1,170 reported deaths among people who received either the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine or another from Moderna Inc., a rate of 0.003%, and no evidence suggests a link.
Everyone should now be able to see how the anti-Christ is going to control the lemmings. When only one side controls the agenda and narrative truth becomes what the controllers say truth is. Even so come Lord Jesus.

Masks are as effective as screen doors on a submarine, or putting up a chain link fence to keep mosquitos out.

Suddenly, we have been seeing members of Fox News breaking with their stars and making heartfelt PSA's exhorting people to get the vaccines, something we've never seen before: Newsmax CEO, and friend of Trump, Chris Ruddy wrote a glowing op-ed complimenting President Biden on his vaccine program. One of the House leaders, Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La, a vaccine holdout, very ostentatiously got vaccinated and told anyone who'd listen that they should do it as well. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis actually went out and urged his constituents to get vaccinated now that his state is being overrun with COVID. Again.

The question on everyone's mind is, "What happened?"

Obviously, it's tied to the new surge of cases as the highly transmissible Delta variant runs through the population of unvaccinated people who are, according to a study by the Kaiser Family Foundation, heavily tilted toward Republicans. As of the end of last month, 86% of Democrats had at least one shot compared to 52% of Republicans. And it's not getting any better.

The problem is that the virus is spreading, restrictions have been lifted and the Republican base is refusing to save itself. The anti-government chickens have finally come home to roost — and they're killing Republicans.

It seems fairly obvious what happened - these Republican leaders, unlike a large swath of their constituents - are not actually dumb. And they have realized that they will go down on the wrong side of history unless they deal with, you know, reality.

These people, again unlike many of their constituents, have something to lose. Correction: their constituents do have something to lose - their lives.

History will not be kind to those who discouraged vaccination. And these political leaders care about their legacies, if not the voters.

With a new spike in COVID cases, and with serious illnesses and deaths now almost exclusively among the unvaccinated, Republican politicians are slowly waking up to realize that if they don't start promoting vaccination, the public are going to begin to see them for the fools they are--and as the saying goes, "In politics, image is everything."

You lie - I never suggested such a thing.

Yes, your lying is perhaps subtle - this is why it is so pernicious. In this case, you lie by trying to draw an equivalence between the opinion of a large of group of highly trained, highly qualified medical experts and a "mob".
I do respect the opinion of a large group of highly trained, highly qualified 'mob' of experts.

America’s Frontline Doctors, a nonprofit, filed a motion on July 19 seeking immediate injunctive relief to stop the emergency use authorization (EUA) of COVID-19 vaccines for three groups of Americans: anyone under the age of 18, anyone who has recovered from COVID-19, and those who haven’t given informed consent as defined by federal law.
The motion was filed against Xavier Becerra, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and other defendants in a federal district court in the Northern District of Alabama.
“The emergency declaration and its multiple renewals are illegal,” the complaint (pdf) alleges.

Even if masks did provide minimal help during the pandemic, they are no longer needed.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky issued a clarification on the COVID-19 “Delta” variant, proclaiming that fully vaccinated individuals are protected against the strain and don’t need to wear masks.
Some municipalities—including Los Angeles County—and a number of countries, as well as the World Health Organization (WHO), have recommended mask-wearing in recent days due to the Delta COVID-19 strain. Such guidance has triggered confusion about whether the virus can affect vaccinated individuals and prompted fears that health officials would reimplement more lockdowns or other measures.
Walensky, however, said the CDC’s recommendation on wearing masks in public hasn’t changed.
“If you are vaccinated, you are safe from the variants that are circulating here in the United States,” Walensky told NBC’s “Today” show, adding that it was “exactly right” that the agency’s guidance still stipulates that vaccinated individuals don’t need to wear masks.

When it comes to the covid vaccine, people just have to take their chances. They might get sick with covid without taking the vaccine. I got sick with covid but who would be surprised since I resisted wearing masks and did not fully participate in the social distancing hysteria. Because I had confidence in the effects of herd immunity I never intended to get the vaccine. I got covid but was not seriously ill from it and now I am over it. Thank God I don't need the vaccine, masks, or social distancing like some still look to for salvation from covid.

Follow your democrat politicians. Get the vaccine and then get covid and take your covid to DC and infect other democrats as well. I feel sorry for ignorant people who think the covid vaccine will make the vaccinated immune from covid or from serious side effects of the vaccine.

Three fully vaccinated members of the Texas House delegation in Washington, D.C., tested positive for Covid-19, the state's House Democratic Caucus said Saturday. ...
Some of the delegation had meetings this week with Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.; Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; and Vice President Kamala Harris. It's not clear if any of the members who tested positive were in the meetings.
Harris' office released a statement Saturday saying she and her staff, who are vaccinated, were not at risk of exposure becahttps://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/3-fully-vaccinated-texas-delegation-members-use they were not in close contact with those who tested positive, and there was no need for them to be tested or quarantined.

More than 150 people have died and nearly 600 have been hospitalized in Illinois due to COVID-19 in "breakthrough" cases after they were fully vaccinated, according to state health officials.
According to data updated Wednesday by the Illinois Department of Public Health, 159 people in Illinois have died due to COVID-19 or complications after being fully vaccinated.

More than 5,100 Massachusetts residents have tested positive for COVID-19, despite being fully vaccinated against the virus, and at least 80 of them have died, state health officials said Tuesday night.

cloth masks 3% effective

confession through projection
The WHO has reported from 'new research' that bandanas and fleece masks may do more harm than good and that for cloth masks to help slow the transmission of covid particles at least 3 masks should be worn together and washed regularly after each use.

New research found that while many types of masks are effective in reducing coronavirus transmission, bandanas do little and fleece masks may backfire.
The research follows World Health Organization guidelines, which specify that homemade fabric masks should have three layers, and should be worn and cleaned properly.

I'm sure we'll see more information when the data is collected, but even looking at France and Italy, which have very high vaccination rates as you point out, comparing them to eastern block countries like Hungary, Romania, or the former Czechoslovakia, etc. where vaccination rates are much lower - the death rate is still the similar. And not spiking due to the delta variant either.

So, if I don't care about the vaccine, it's because it doesn't affect much. But I'm very wary of the way the government is pushing the vaccine. And with all the lies they've told it is wise to consider what they say or promote as wrong and bad until shown otherwise. Since the data isn't in, my opinion is that we haven't been shown otherwise yet.
I understand mistrust of the government but this is nonsense about the vaccine not effecting much and the death rate being the same between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups is simply delusional! You don't have to look anywhere else than in your very own state, indeed likely your own county, perhaps even you own city (certainly the nearest major city) to know for an absolute undeniable FACT that the vaccine affects a very great deal! The only people at any appreciable risk of dying of COVID are people who have not already had the virus and have not been vaccinated.

Look, this is stupidity. The whole conversation is stupid and I'm stupid for participating in it. You guys are going to believe whatever stupid nonsense that suits your fancy no matter what anyone says anyway so just go do so.

I am well and truly finished with this thread. I'm unsubscribing to it and won't post a single additional syllable in it. You guys feel free to turn it into whatever sort of echo chamber you like..

I have not been vaccinated, and as far as I know I have not already had the virus. But that's the whole point of herd immunity, have the healthy people get it, get over it, develop antibodies to it and go on to live healthy productive lives without having to try an untested vaccine.

Stop the spread.

Flatten the curve.

These were good strategies when the prediction was we wouldn't be able to develop and implement and deliver a vaccine quickly.

They still are.

Welcome to the echo chamber that is the internet. People whose ideas would not stand up to scrutiny in the broader society can find little safe spaces where their fringe thinking is allowed to metastasize.

Let me illustrate by just one example: We have at least one poster here who systematically mixes up correlation with causation. If a student in a university classroom claimed that the 5,000 deaths in the VAERS database (which registers adverse events that follow a vaccination) demonstrates that the vaccine caused these deaths, he would be laughed out of the classroom. And rightly so.

But here, of course, this error is applauded and promoted.
