Is the Earth Flat? (and other related nonsense)

Witsit is an idiot, who is now finding out what it means to build up a community full of gullible idiots to believe nonsense. He's being kicked out of his own community which he helped form.

Jeran has at least been intellectually honest and come out of the belief that the earth is flat.

But no, I'm not talking about them.

I'm talking about people like McToon and FTFE and Dave McKeegan.
I know all 5 of the idiots very well.

The AE map (centered on the north pole) as a model for the earth has been falsified by the 24-hour sun in the Antarctic.
The AE map was debunked by flat earthers 5 or 6 years ago.

It's a giant ball of plasma.
Cool story.
The reason you don't know what it is isn't because you've stumbled upon some hidden truth of the world.
I don't need to stumble on a hidden truth to know nobody has ever proven what the sun is.

It's because you're a gullible idiot who's fallen for a grift, and become stupider as a result.
Not so, friend.
I just started researching all the things I believed as a kid.
As a result I've gotten smarter.
And dumber as I used to think I knew things that turned out to be false.

Then you have no model by which you can compare reality to in order to understand it.
The heliocentric paradigm has no working model either.

So you think you can get an elevation angle from a curved surface?

You seem pretty stupid to me. So either you weren't very smart to begin with, or you haven't gotten smarter.

The heliocentric paradigm has no working model either.

Yes, we do.

Here's one of them:

From a tangent of a curved surface, yes.

es, we do.

Here's one of them:

Pictures in a place that violates the second law of thermodynamics. Cool, Not a working model then.
From a tangent of a curved surface, yes.
Tangents are not horizontal.
Since this is clearly false, there are no solutions, thus, there are no horizontal tangents. The graph of the function will confirm.

Elevation angles are :
The angle of elevation is an angle that is formed between the horizontal line and the line of sight. If the line of sight is upward from the horizontal line, then the angle formed is an angle of elevation. The elevation angle is the signed angle between the reference plane and the line segment OP, where positive angles are oriented towards the zenith. For visible objects, altitude is the angle between the object and the observer's local horizon, and it is an angle between 0° and 90°.

Sorry, but you're wrong.
