Trump got the MAGAts to believing that Pence was the last line of defense against Biden becoming president, but instead of rejecting the election result, Pence certified it. As a consequence, the MAGAt Capitol rioters wanted to murder him and Pence is now the scapegoat and a pariah among many in the MAGAt community.

The truth is that Biden legitimately won and Pence did the only thing he could do under the Constitution, which was to certify the election. So the real betrayal here was committed by Trump.
