And who was Jesus?
He was God, The second person of the Godhead, 1 John 5:7.
Jesus is Son of God and Savior of the world.
I was only pointing out your blind spot.
And who was Jesus?
He was God, The second person of the Godhead, 1 John 5:7.
You keep dismiss the fact that God gave Jesus authority to forgive sins.
The Bible says that Jesus is THE SON OF GOD. Not God. He said his God was in heaven and he was returning to Him. (John 20:17) How can Jesus be God and yet return to God?
Jesus is Son of God and Savior of the world.
I was only pointing out your blind spot.
Jesus DID NOT say, "Unless you believe that I am the Lord your God you will die in your sins"!!! Look at the whole passage that is being cited, and you can see that.
"In him dwells ALL of the fullness of the Godhead bodily" Colossians 2:9.
You have the right idea, but James wasn't referring to the works of the Law. He was referring to good works like what Jesus did to honor his Father and help mankind.....the preaching work (of the Kingdom; Matt.24:14), feeding someone who is hungry, rebuilding someone's house if it gets washed away in a hurricane, even everyday things...it's a state of mind, to be willing to do whatever you can for other people.
What does this have to do with your dismissal of Jesus was given authority to forgive our sins?
