The Book of Life is just another name for the Tanach.

Then the greeting "may your name be written in the book of life"
means that you can write your name inside the cover of the Tanakh? :rotfl:

Only HaShem could write your name in the book of life. And this could happened only if a Gentile decides to join God's Covenant with His People according to Halacha. Then he or she could get a name better than sons and daughters. (Isaiah 56:1-8)
