They want you to affirm their actions, to affirm their rebellion against God.
It seems to me that one insidious tactic that some (though I assume a minority) of them resort to nowadays is (as bizarre a spectacle as it is) to try to cozy up and try to appeal to people who have a more or less Bible-based world view, by calling themselves things like "Gays Against Groomers". These proud Sodomites seem to be so desperately begging for the affirmation you mention that they, asininely, actually want it to be imagined that they are cobelligerents, alongside Christians and conservatives, against the culture-destroying promotion of sexual perversion. What folly! Despite protestations, I just can't buy it that any Sodomites are really offended by child grooming and the whole transvestite clown-show that's now en vogue.
