Get Thee Behind Me, Satan

Now the devil was more subtil
than any spirit in the Christian churches.
And he said unto the Word, Yea, hath Jesus said,
unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan:
And the Word said unto the devil, I believe Jesus word for word.
And the devil said unto the Word,

Jesus reinstated Peter.

John 21:15-19

Jesus Reinstates Peter
15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”

16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”

Why are you making up things the Bible does not say? Show me where it says the devil was more subtil than any spirit in the Christian churches.

After Jesus rebuked Peter, Jesus explained how if one wants to be his disciple, they must deny themselves and follow him.

Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

We see where Jesus reinstates Peter and tells him to "follow me". Peter followed Jesus to his own death.

John 21:19 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”

Let's come to the truth...

Question 1

Did Jesus really
say unto Peter
"Get thee behind me, Satan"?

Either Jesus
said this or Jesus
did not say this
to Peter?

If you believe Jesus
never said this to Peter
then tell me why
you do not believe Jesus
never said this to Peter?

Jesus really said that, and then he told him, and us how one can still be forgiven. Peter did what he had to do to have life.

Question 2

Did Jesus really
say this or did Jesus
not really say this?

Matthew 10
32 Whosoever therefore shall
confess me before men,
him will I confess also
before my Father
which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall
deny me before men,
him will I also deny
before my Father
which is in heaven.

Stop right there.
So you really believe that Jesus called Peter, Satan?

True or false?

I do not take direction from you.

I have replied to your post many times and you have merely copy/pasted an answer.

Now admit you add to God's Word.

Would you like me to remind you of what happens when you do that?

You have sinned against God by adding to His Word, but thank God for Jesus you can be forgiven, if you do what Jesus says to do.

Now tell us all that you say things the Bible does not say; or, give the scripture to prove you do not make up things as if they are from God.

Question 3

Do you believe
Jesus really said this to Peter.

Matthew 26:34
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee,
That this night, before the **** crow,
thou shalt deny me thrice.

And do you believe
that Peter called Jesus a liar?

Matthew 26:35
Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee,
yet will I not deny thee.

about your actions or behavior.

2. Jesus said to Peter he would betray him.

3. Peter called Jesus a liar.

You have added to God's Word and that is a sin.

There is still hope for you if you humble yourself and admit you sinned, and prove your repentance by your deeds.
