mRNA vaccines do not sound like an improvement to natural immunity. If mRNA vaccines strengthen the focus on a particular virus while weakening the human's natural ability to combat other infections then it is not really an advancement.Because the vaccines focus the immune system on the spike protein, the effect of the mutations is reduced because the immune system will target parts of the spike protein that do not or cannot change very much. In a natural infection the immune system will target all kinds of things. Also the mRNA vaccines can be easily retooled to cover mutations by just changing their sequence. (Also, wow, "beneficial" mutations are real now I guess.)
