Faith Justifies and Counts for Righteousness. Not Works and Obedience.

"To him that does no works, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, HIS FAITH is counted for righteousness" Romans 4:5.

"For what does the scripture say? Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness" Romans 4:3.

"Therefore being justified by FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1.

"But that no man is justified by the law (works and obedience) in the sight of God, it is evident: for, THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH" Galatians 3:11.

There are other scriptures in the Bible that say pretty much the same thing as the above scriptures are saying. We are justified by faith because we are justified by Christ. Jesus is God's justifier, Romans 3:26. Jesus as God's new Adam, justifies the ungodly and reconciles us and the world to God, 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19.

Calvinism, Catholicism, Religion or whatever, was not needed to reconcile us to God. We were justified by faith and by faith alone.

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, were we not Calvinist? Lord, Lord, didn't we join the Catholic church? Lord, Lord, didn't we obey the commandments? Lord, Lord, didn't we...?

Works and obedience are the results of being saved, not the cause of it. All who come to Christ to receive salvation are given the Holy Spirit, Galatians 3:2. It is the Spirit working in the life of the believer that produces good works and the Christian life.

"For we are HIS workmanship , created in Jesus Christ unto good works, which God has ordained that we should walk in them" Ephesians 2:10.

This is what James was talking about when he said... "Faith without works is dead" James 2:17. If there is no Spirit motivation in works or obedience, its dead faith.

Faith in Christ and his Gospel are the door to eternal life. Calvinism, Catholicism and religion in general is misdirected faith. It is not faith in Christ and his Gospel, it is faith in a religion. It is a diversion away from the truth of the Gospel. If one has faith in Christ and his Gospel there is no need to have faith in anything else.

If we have been reconciled to God by Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19. Then what good is Calvinism, Catholicism or any religion. If we are complete in Jesus Christ, Colossians 2:10, then how is Calvinism, Catholicism or any religion going to add to that.

Religion is anti-Gospel and anti-Christ. To follow after a religion is to jeopardize your soul. In the judgment the only thing that is going to matter is do you have faith in God's Son Jesus Christ? This is the only thing that God is going to honor. Everything else will be destroyed by fire, 1 Corinthians 3:13.

Then what good is Calvinism, Catholicism or any religion.

According to you if these call upon the name of the Lord they are then saved. Isn't that what you advocate?

So if these people are saved then what they call themselves is not relevant and they are your brethren. Why do you criticize them?

Are you more saved than they?

All who have come to the realization that without Jesus Christ they are eternally lost and call upon Christ to save them are my brethern.

They are my brethern because we both have the same Spirit.

However, not all that call upon Christ to save them were sincere, instead of trusting in Christ they are trusting in themselves and religion.

That's not what you claim. You say that calling on the name of the Lord is all that's required. What is your proof that people of other faiths don't sincerely call upon the name of the Lord?

Are you just making this up as you go?

I have no idea about what goes on in the mind and the hearts of others. But some things are evident.

Some are drawn to Christ and his Gospel. Others are drawn to religion and the law. I consider all who are drawn to Christ and his Gospel to be my brethern.

This is Salvation by works, by what a person does ! Faith/Believing is what a person does !

You are always in conflict with the word of God.

Christ died for the sins of the world, 1 John 2:2.

We know according to scripture that the "whole world" in 1 John 2:2 can't be all men without exception
since many are condemned already John 3:18 and under the wrath of God John 3:36
because God has not been propitiated for their sins: Christ did not shed His Blood for them Rom. 3:25!

So then, the "whole world" in 1 John 2:2 can only mean God's Elect, which come from the whole world;
from all nations, both jew and gentile Rev. 5:9; 14:6.
