Wait, I thought the crowd that stormed the Capitol were all Antifa-loving Democrats in disguise. If so, you should want them all arrested and prosecuted. But now you're telling me they were just taking an innocent stroll through the park! So which is it? Were they Antifa terrorists or were they MAGAs?

Here is what is going on. Democrats want to spend more money and time looking for more ways to shore up their false accusations against Trump so they can further damage those who questioned voter fraud. This is not about getting at the truth about what happened in the relatively "peaceful protest" at the Capitol, it is about further damaging those who called out democrats on their voter fraud.

It is clear from public reports that both leftist agitators and right-wing protesters were involved. And it is clear that the goal of those driven by politics was to disrupt the House hearings on voter fraud, which is exactly what happened.

2. How does the absence of certain conservatives from DC on Jan 6 make it unreasonable for them to be investigated - surely one need not be present at the event to have played a role.

Did republicans want the false allegations against Trump investigated after Hillary accused him of conspiring with Russians to ruin her chances in 2016? Yes. Did Americans want the democrats to spy on trump, plant false witnesses in compromising situations to dishonestly make Trump look guilty, and spend tens of millions of dollars in a well-publicized witch hunt in efforts to find a crime he might have committed by which they could impeach him like they had been saying they wanted to do from his first day in office? No.
Do republicans want to turn the democrats loose to start another witch hunt to dig up dirt on Trump and conservative, select some facts and discard others, arrest conservatives only and threaten them with years in prison if they do not say something against Trump and those who object to voter fraud? I think a lot of the Republicans who stormed the Capitol on 6 Jan are regretting their allegiance to Trump now that they are being prosecuted. They asked for pardons from Trump and he ignored them.
