Criminal Prosecution For Treason

In March, in a bold “Oh yeah?” moment during an interview with the Washington Post’s editorial board, Donald Trump took the paper’s dare and revealed, then and there, his very short list of foreign policy advisers. There were just five, though he said, “I have quite a few more.” The list was a head-scratcher, a random assortment of obscure and questionable pundits. One of the names, offered without elaboration, was, “Carter Page, PhD.”

So, if the FBI had that, and Trump was denying this guy was with the campaign, then the FBI had good reason to keep the investigation to themselves.

Trump wasn't denying he was and advisor to the campaign.

BUT;
If Page was under surveillance by the FBI AND an advisor to Trumps Campaign then they DID owe Trump a heads up when he got his first Top Secret Briefing in August.
Carter Page's sympathetic positive comments concerning Putin were well known, he had entered into business relationship with a Russian businessman and he appeared regularly as an American economic authority on state-sponsored Russian television - if the Trump Campaign had done their due diligence in vetting him, they would have known what they were getting!

Well let's see, he said;

And you responded;

Ok, fair enough. I didn't fact-check the post I was responding to.

There was a FISA warrant. I don't know exactly when. Page has been under suspicion since 2013, when Russian spies were recorded bragging about recruiting him.

It sure seems like you're agreeing with him to me.

In a general sense, I was. We don't really know the extent of Page being under a warrant. We know for sure that he was much of last year. How far back that goes, I really don't know.

Now just so we're clear; Do you agree that the first FISA warrant for Carter Page was issued in 2014?

I have no idea.

They wanted to recruit him.

Recruiting him doesn't mean necessarily making him a witting collaborator. But it could mean that.

Then why didn't you ask Jgarden what he was talking about?
Instead of spewing hate at Fox viewers?

If you want to understand my reaction to Fox News viewers, read the OP and post #3. And then spend an evening listening to Hannity spinning conspiracy theories about the FBI and the Justice Department. And then listen to Jeannine Pirro demand that various civil servants who happen to run afoul of Donald Trump be "taken out in cuffs". I'm sick of the attacks on the institutions of our country, by people who also police other people's patriotism.

It's very interesting that you cite The Washington Post.

Is it? They've had some of the best reporting on the recent events, and I have a subscription.

Back in April of 2017 The Washington Post reported that there had been a FISA warrant on Page in the summer of 2016;
Now, how come your WaPo story about Page doesn't reference it's own previous story about Page that has a different story?

This one:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...a742a6e93a7_story.html?utm_term=.7251ded8281b

Dated 2017-04-11? It's in there, near the end.

The memo states that in December 2017, then FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe testified that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” from the FISA court “without the Steele dossier information.”

And now we know that Nunes didn't even read the information when he made up that story. And we now know that McCabe didn't say what Nunes invented for him.

So are you saying that what is said about McCabe here is not true?:

The memo states that in December 2017, then FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe testified that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” from the FISA court “without the Steele dossier information.”

Do you not know that McCabe said that in front of many Congressmen and some of them have confirmed that is what he said?

I guess you can call all of them liars too!

It is difficult to have an intelligent conversation with a lefty because they never can answer the message so they attack the messenger!

The definition of "treason" is not lack of affection for one's country, but the act of seeking to undermine and betray it.

It's not the country that Democrats refused to applaud, but its current deficient leader. In Trump's world, he's the most special man-boy in America, deserving of all the applause simply for showing up.

Trump's press secretary Sarah Sanders said later that Trump was just, you know, goofing around, "clearly joking," she said -- when he publicly, before the cameras, called sitting members of Congress treasonous.

Here's one thing that would be potentially treasonous: colluding with a foreign power to win an election, Don.

Remember, this is the guy who thought that being president made him capable of jailing his political opponents and demanding "loyalty" from Justice Department officials. He thinks he's Fidel Castro.

And, absent the Constitution, he would be.

8 Valentine's Day Gift Options For Her From Nordstrom

I'm trying to figure out how you think Nordstrom's invalidates the Constitution.

Edit: Ah, now I see it. A "letters to the editor" kind of thing by some wigged-out blogger. Did you not see the warning Forbes appended at the bottom of his letter?

"The opinions expressed are those of the writer."
