Someone would have to explain or concoct a conspiracy theory to show why about 500 flood accounts or legends exist universally, not as fantasy literature, but as sane explanations as to why the surface of the earth is the way it is today. The west coast Klamath never mention seeing the ocean until after the great flood; then they mention that it is visible from (Mt shasta). Ie, explanations of drastic changes in the world are found or shown in all these materials.

That's because many places on most continents used to be the seabed. You don't say whether they are all the same fossil species or not. Clue: they are different depending on when the continent was under the sea.
