Yep. I liked the last couple seasons of Star Trek: Voyager. I learned a ton about wormholes and transwarp drives and transphasic torpedo’s... cool stuff.

I think the basic string theory from which these ideas are derived might be on to something, but M-theory is too far out there for me.
