Unfortunately thugs murder people daily in America. For some reason, people think it's news when the thug who does the murder is a police officer. Possibly because that doesn't happen every day. Be grateful that it's unusual enough to make the news.
However, it's a cynical lie that the Cannon Hinnant murder was not carried by the national media.

Former employee accuses network of amplifying 'fringe voices'
A former producer for MSNBC explained why she quit her role in a scathing letter, calling the left-leaning anti-Trump TV network a “cancer” that is “stoking national division” among Americans.
Ariana Pekary accused MSNBC of amplifying “fringe voices” while forcing “journalists to make bad decisions on a daily basis.”
Pekary wrote on her personal website:
"July 24th was my last day at MSNBC. I don’t know what I’m going to do next exactly but I simply couldn’t stay there anymore."
"My colleagues are very smart people with good intentions. The problem is the job itself. It forces skilled journalists to make bad decisions on a daily basis."
Pekary also shared quotes of what people said to her during her years while working for MSNBC before pondering the harmful effect the network is having on society.

Don't know if you saw the 60 Minutes interview Mr. Trump, mercifully, said was done. He was asked nothing but questions in keeping with the Democrat party line, with all the disinformation, out of context twists and outright leftist slanders: all the usual talking points, from the usual suspects, afflicted with TDS. Trump pointed out how, and it's true, a Biden press question is the press catching Biden with an ice cream cone, and he's asked what flavor it is. It's all so idiotic, how nobody even asks Biden how any of his lying, obvious fairy dust plans are going to work, much less about the multi millions in Biden influence peddling, bribes, from foreign nationals. It's all fake news, an extension of the left's demonic agenda, may as well call it your Antichrist News Hour, the 10 O'clock Karl Marx News, the Homo News Hour, or maybe the Biden What Decade Is This News.
Just an aside, have you noticed how the Democrats are all for arson and looting, until it reaches their neighborhoods or property, and suddenly they turn on a dime and become bastions law and order? Remember how it was the Mayor of Seattle or somebody such that, when the "protesters" came to their neighborhood, it was then the policemen, they previously said needed to be abolished, in their pandering to the mob, that suddenly the police needed to step in? Liberal leaders love their voters, as long as they stay out of their neighborhoods.
