ECT Christ is the Head of His Bride.

In speaking of Christ as the Head of the church, the Bible is speaking of His being the Head of His Bride not of Christs own body.

If Paul was speaking of Christ's Headship of His own body then why would Paul speak of the head members of the Bride as being of the Church on earth?

1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
1Co 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
1Co 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
1Co 12:19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
1Co 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1Co 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
1Co 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

It is desirable to understand that if Christ Himself is the head of His own body then there could be no division it, now could there be.

However as the Bride has ears, eyes, smelling, and even speaking etc as shown in the further chapter, then it should be understandable that such a many membered body which includes its own head, can be divided until it is all mature.

As Christ Himself is not only mature but resurrected and completely perfect in His Fathers image, then if His body was Himself then no division could possible be in it.

Yet we all know there is division in His church.

Often the only solution to those who believe the body of Christ is Christ own body, is to say that those who disagree with them can not be Christians.

Rather immature to think so is it not?

Yes, LA has a hangup about this.

The members of the Body of Christ were crucified, buried, and risen with him. Apparently he thinks the New Jerusalem was crucified, buried, and risen with him.
LA has no idea WHO Jesus Christ is; so this all makes perfect sense.

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Man has his own body and Christ has his own body, yet Christ is the Head of every man,

This does not mean that man has no head at all except that of Christ.

Likewise the woman has her own head but is under the headship (authority ) of her husband.

Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

S>P has more "stuff" in him than a Christmas turkey. Where is that understanding found in the scriptures? By that, I am asking for understanding and not spammed scripture of any sort? So can anyone point to it?

Once again, the Lamb's wife is a city.

Really?

Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Reve;atopm 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Is the city his bride or the people in it that come with the city?

Jeremiah 3:14 "Return, faithless people," declares the LORD, "for I am your husband. I will choose you--one from a town and two from a clan--and bring you to Zion.

Hosea 2:19-20 19 I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. 20 I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will acknowledge the LORD.
