I suppose some people hide from humor as others hide from reality...Yes, the ignore button is there for them too. It is there to provide protection to the mentally weak no matter what the issue. Truly an egalitarian feature, obviously a progressive icon.

Hide from humour, where's the sense in that? To be fair, the ignore feature is more nuanced than that.
