2nd Lieutenant Nazario is suing Virginia police officers. Just another bad stop by racist police?

Instead of trying to defend bad cops, redirect, insult etc, why not discuss how to put these situations away?

He probably believed the sales company had sorted everything just fine.

But you want him beaten up for that, I suppose.
The whole thing could have been avoided if he had pulled over to the side of the road as soon as he saw the flashing lights, responded politely to the officers questions and requests, and not acted the way he did, like a damn fool

Simple - treat law enforcement with respect and they'll treat you with the respect. I learned this as a kid, my folks taught me. I taught it to my kids. When a cop pulls you over, pull to the side of the road and stop. Put it in park. Keep your hands on the steering wheel. When they approach the car and they ask you to put your window down, put your window down. Talk to them politely. If they ask you to get out of the car get out of the car.

Oh good - here we go again. Just in time to riot all summer just like last year.

Do you s'pose Joe the Rapist will allow it this year?

Minnesota voted for this. I guess they think they deserve it.
It occurred to me that when we're discussing this with Rusha she's just parroting what she heard on the TV. When we're discussing it with eider he's just parroting what he heard on the TV. Neither of them have the intellectual curiosity to look further than the pap they're spoonfed by the television.

Yes. There are a lot of sheeple out there.

I would want to talk about police reform but not with nuts who are insisting it's all racism.

So talk about it.
Talk about it to doser then.
Tell doser how you would go about police reform.

So discuss it with Hilltrot.
Why don't you explain to him how you would respond to all these incidents of bad stops and bad policing?
Go on......

I don't think this particular one is a bad stop and bad policing. I think it's an example of bad behavior by a lieutenant who should have known better, who should have respected the authority of the police that he was interacting with.

Have you watched the video in post #45 yet?

Yes. Outrageous. The cops just kept screaming at the driver to get out of the car . No explanations why they had stopped him for minutes!
To continue slowly until he could stop right off the road, under lights and on CCTV coverage was perfectly reasonable. He had not taken off at speed so he was no flight risk.
All the cops had to do was explain why they had stopped him and ask for his docs.
Our cops do it all differently unless there is a known gun risk on which case armed response handles the whole stop, but in such a case as that they would follow until the car stopped, giving leeway if it was clearly slowing etc. They would approach, ask the driver to switch off the engine, explain why they had stopped him and ask him to take a seat on the back of their police car.
Then they would check docs, id, etc and sort the problem. I realise that it's different here..... Less guns.
One cop has gone from the force already, so obviously the police are not supporting this incident.
