  • Thank you for blessing my morning from reading of your testimony! I will go now and read your blogs to learn more.
Yes, I understand the influence the HS exerted through your wife. My testimony includes the wonder that my (only) daughter was regenerated at age 11 PRIOR to we, her stubborn and agnostic parents, and I ridiculed her testimony (for which I am still deeply ashamed) for over a year, before the Lord also overwhelmed me and my husband with the same saving grace. This all happened over 43 years ago, but has proven permanent and blessed since then.
Regeneration by the Spirit is real!
I was introduced to them by a close friend who knew some of them, when we were in the Navy in Sicily.
Heck, that doesn't sound pleasant at all and I'm sorry to hear it. I do know how affecting diabetes can be through someone I know so I do hope you manage to cope okay? Far from easy I know...
Hey, it has been a while although I'm sorry to hear things aren't very well? If you want to talk then feel free. :) I'm not doing all that great but I'm getting by.
He seems to spend most of his time in attack mode and tends to see guilt by association. It's too bad, really.
Oh, thanks, that's a really nice thing to say. I hope you had some good time being away.
Also good ones. I may have to bring him up next in my American Film Icons thread. My old theory was you need three terrific films to be a movie star. The greatest have five and up, except Clark Gable, who had "It Happened One Night" then "Gone With the Wind" which was such a cultural force it didn't matter after that and most of his movies else were simply very entertaining.
Oh, and I'm with you on Costner. Great movie here, bust there. But I think Bull Durham, Silverado, Dances With Wolves and my personal favorite Field of Dreams justify his movie making existence...and Open Range, which is one of my top ten westerns. :)
I still enjoyed it, but if you haven't read the book take a shot at it one of these. Also, I was happy to note your note to anna. I don't tend to read other people's conversations but it was almost just below mine and I wanted to give you a nod on it. She takes a lot of flack and rarely gets that sort of appreciation. Good on you. :thumb:
Once again, thank you for the prayers.

You already apologized, and I accepted. I also apologize for getting short with you.

One of the problems with the internet is that it's sometimes easy to forget that there is another person on the other end with feelings just like that of our own. Not to mention, we really don't know what all someone might be going through.

You really are dealing with a lot of issues, medically. Also, I know first hand how some of these medications work such as anti-depressants and anti-seizure meds. Sometimes the benefits do not outweigh the side effects.

Anyways, you are in my thoughts as well.
Blacking out would be pretty scary. I hope that doesn't happen again.

It's nice to see you back around, sorry I'm not here more myself to keep in touch more regularly, but I'll say hi and send good wishes your way when I'm around. :)
Thanks for the kind words, and of course, I would appreciate you praying for him.

Diabetes runs in our family, and I am borderline and was on insulin during a hospitalization a few years back. I am sorry to hear that you are having to deal with such a horrible disease.

My best advice is to do what you are doing insofar as controlling your diet. Also, take special care with your feet or any cuts or scrapes that you might believe are minor.

My brother started out with a piece of loose skin on his foot that he peeled off, and it just rocketed into the current situation.

I will keep you in my thoughts as well.
No worries. It happens. I am probably a bit more sensitive this week as well because my older, disabled brother (who lives in Cali) had to have his foot and part of his leg amputated (right under his knee). He is severely diabetic and had it not been for his mediCAL and Medicare, he most likely would have died. Gangrene had set in.

See that is where my mindset is at.
I am sorry to hear that you have had to go through so much, praise God that you are getting better. My prayers are with you and yours brother, and i am glad to see you back here.
