Then I think on sating hunger with the priests' grain and pardoning the woman to be stoned...and I'm left to entertain that the law was meant to demonstrate our insufficiency and Christ's life to underscore the willful nature of that insufficiency (else we would lead sinless lives given, as I'm want to say, the self same mechanism by which a man denies one sin is the means to deny every--and yet we fail) and to offer pardon in the face of that sordid, meritless truth.
