Yeah. For example, some of the things the Bible said about Him were the truths that He is God, and that He was crucified, died, was buried, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven. To live according to those truths is to live according to what the Bible said about Him.
What do you mean by "there was no New Testament when He ascended"? Do you mean that those Bible Truths (that He is God, and that He was crucified, died, was buried, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven, etc.) weren't believed by "His disciples and believers in Him" until the New Testament was penned? Do you mean that those Bible Truths (that He is God, and that He was crucified, died, was buried, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven, etc.) weren't true until the New Testament was penned? Was the Bible Truth that Jesus is God somehow not true until it was written in the New Testament that Jesus is God? Was the Bible Truth that Jesus raised Himself from the dead somehow not true until the New Testament was penned? The penning of the New Testament didn't cause any of those Bible Truths to be true.

I think Pilate declared Him king, put a purple robe on Him, crowned Him king, and made a wooden sign that He is king. That's what happened. Was he mocking Him? It has nothing to do with the facts. We know the Jewish leaderhip did not like the sign, and asked Pilate to change the sign, and Pilate said no. "What I have written I have written." ο γεγραφα γεγραφα

Oh, yeah, I also like Turley! A few years ago, I somehow happened to find out that he's a fairly accomplished guitarist in addition to his academic and commentating careers. I've always liked Thomas J. DiLorenzo and Thomas E Woods, Jr. pretty well, too.

Sure. But He is our Passover. Lamb flesh was eaten in memory of the original lamb flesh that was eaten in Egypt during the original Passover. Not the same lambs, but the same flesh. You had to eat the Passover.
