The catholic hospital here wanted us to murder our youngest when they said she would have a birth defect. But they won't tie a woman's tubes because it is immoral. Go figure.

But they won't tie tubes or do a vasectomy. Not that I would have that done, but strange nonetheless knowing killing the baby is fine. Indeed, trying to figure out liberals at times is hard to do.

Unfortunately, religious monomania is often the reason for these types of killings.

In the Middle East in the Holy Land, doctors are well aware of the religious delusions that can result from innocent tourists.

In fact, they have coined a term for this malady that they call the "Jerusalem syndrome."

Both the woman who drowned her children in the bathtub and a woman who threw her child or children off a bridge were both Christians who were convinced that God told them to do it because the kids were demons.

I once saw an interview with a murder who cut into a woman's belly with a sharp knife because he was convinced he needed to be "born again" and was confident he would turn into an egg and get back inside the woman.

In that instance, he was a little like Nicodemus in John who insists on taking Jesus' preaching literally. Jesus has to set him straight about what "born again" really means!
