There have been only tiny handful of cases of female genital mutilation by Muslims in America . The vast majority of American Muslims do not approve of or practice this kind of barbarism .
And it is found only in the more primitive and backward parts of the Muslim world. It predates the religion of Islam .
What about the incredibly stupid things which some Christians do to their children, such as those who believe in "faith healing " and allow their children to die in agony of easily treatable ailments because they believe that the lord will heal the children through prayer ? Of course, this is not typical of Christians in America , but it is more common than most people realize .
Or the Christians in the deep south who handle rattlesnakes because of their erroneous interpretation of the bible, and die ?
