4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

xxx That is LORD God the Father

So many people misunderstand who it is speaking of just like the He's and Him's. And the LORD, Lord revelations. Satan cant change Gods Word but he can through mans intellect change letters to capital or from capital to small letters. I have seen so many think it is Jesus when it is the Father, or so many think it is the Father when it is Jesus. The Father should be LORD or God. Jesus should be Lord or Son. I seen it so much in the He's and Him's.

See also He's and Him's. And LORD, Lord

Mark 12:29-30
29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
30 'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.

xxx That is LORD our God the LORD is the Father.

Acts 2:39
39 "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

xxx That is LORD our God the Father.

Rev 19:1
1 After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!
(NKJ)
xxx That is LORD our God the Father.

Matthew 22
41While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42“What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”

“The son of David,” they replied.

43 He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says, 44“ ‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.” ’45 If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”

46 No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Lord Jesus

Eph 4:4-7
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
(NKJ)

1 Cor 8:5
5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

(NKJ)

Acts 10:36-38
36 "The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ-- He is Lord of all--
37 "that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:
38 "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

It seems that the writers can make mistakes. But if the Word is spoken no one can see the difference. But when it is written down the word doesn't change but it can be mistranslated. With either a capitol letter or a little letter.

My copy of the KJV actually uses LORD (all caps) at Matt. 22:44. This is unusual in the NT even for the KJV.

Since the KJV (and most other Bible translations have actually removed Gods only personal Name (YHWH: transliterated as Yahweh; Yehowah; or Jehovah) as found in the OT texts and replaced it with the false translation 'LORD'(ADN), how about replacing that Holy Name with what belongs there (as the ASV; MKJV; JB; NJB; and a few others have done.

Again, the KJV itself has properly transliterated one of the thousands of uses of 'YHWH' found throughout the Hebrew OT texts at Ps. 83:18.

16 Fill their faces with shame;
that they may seek thy name, O LORD [YHWH].
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever;
yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 that men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH [YHWH],
art the most high over all the earth.

The American translators of the American Standard Version (ASV) were so incensed by this blasphemous removal of God's only personal name that they not only replaced the name in the thousands of places it belongs in their noted translation, but even noted in the introduction that this replacement of the divine Name was their number one priority!

As it stands today, unless you have one of the very few Bibles which have honestly transliterated the only Hebrew personal name of God, you should replace every use of 'LORD' and 'GOD' (all caps) in the OT with one of the honest English transliterations of that name.

"One of the most fundamental and essential features of the biblical revelation is the fact that God is not without a name: he has a personal name [Jehovah or Yahweh], by which he can, and is to be, invoked.” - p. 649, The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology, Vol. 2, Zondervan, 1986.

“The name of God is described as his ‘holy name’ more often than all other adjectival qualifications [titles, descriptions, etc.] taken together. It was this sense of the sacredness of the name that finally led to the obtuse [stupid] refusal to use ‘Yahweh’, leading as it has done to a deep loss of the sense of the divine name in [English-language Bibles].” - p. 813, section d, New Bible Dictionary, Tyndale House Publ., 1984.

"Characteristic of the OT is its insistence on the possible knowledge of God as a person; and Jehovah is His name as a person. It is illogical, certainly, that the later Hebrews should have shrunk from its pronunciation, in view of the appropriateness of the name and of the OT insistence on the personality of God, who as a person has this name. [ASV] quite correctly adopts the transliteration ‘Jehovah’ to emphasize its significance and purpose as a personal name of God revealed.” - , p. 1266, Vol. 2, The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, Eerdmans, 1984.

“The change ... which substitutes ‘Jehovah’ for ‘LORD’ and ‘GOD’ (printed in small capitals) - is one which will be unwelcome to many.... But the American Revisers, after a careful consideration, were brought to the unanimous conviction that a Jewish superstition, which regarded the Divine Name as too sacred to be uttered, ought no longer to dominate in the English or any other version of the Old Testament.... This personal name, with its wealth of sacred associations, is now restored to the place in the sacred text to which it has an unquestionable claim.” - Preface, p. iv, American Standard Version, Thomas Nelson and Sons.

“How long shall there be lies in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart, who think to make my people forget my name by their dreams which they tell one another, even as their fathers forgot my name for Baal [‘Lord’]?” - Jer. 23:26-27, RSV.

“Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, .... they shall know that my name is Jehovah.” - Jer. 16:19,21, ASV.

“God said further to Moses, You tell the Israelites: JEHOVAH ... has sent me to you. This is My name forever and by this I am to be remembered through all generations.” - Ex. 3:15, MLB (Cf. NEB, LB, ASV, KJIIV).

Is. 12:4 - "and on that day you will say: “Give thanks to Yahweh; proclaim His name! Celebrate His works among the peoples. Declare that His name is exalted." - HCSB.

Ps 105:1 - "Oh give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name;" - ASV.

Ps. 148:5 - "Let them praise the name of Jehovah; For he commanded, and they were created." - ASV.

148:13 - "Let them praise the name of Jehovah; For his name alone is exalted;" - ASV.

“Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, [O Jehovah - ASV] .... That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” - Ps. 83:16, 18, KJV, LB.

The carnal mind is easily deceived by the influence of emotions. I have seen many misunderstand the LORD, Lord, lord. And I have seen it misused in the bible versions. And King, and king. And the He's and Him's. Now did God do this as stumbling blocks to the intellectuals or did man just make a mistake? There are many false doctrines in the name of bible. And people who assume that they can understand scripture with the carnal mind are delusional. The carnal mind is using carnal language. The Spiritual mind is only attained by walking after the Holy Spirit and He only quotes verses. If you are wondering if you are spiritually minded, do you answer questions about the bible with the verses the Holy Spirit quotes to you in your mind at that moment? Do you understand when others answer you with verses? You must find out who you are before you can teach others.
