French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve praised the Marines who almost certainly 'averted a disaster'

Ok, so it turns it that the heros were not US Marines after all. One guy is in the Air Force and another guy is in the U.S. Army National Guard. There was a third guy who is a college student who also helped. All three are close frieds who were traveling throughout Europe on a buddy trip.

Ok, there were at least two other men who engaged the would-be shooter. One is a 51-year old French-American profesor of literature, Mark Moogalian. Aother man grabbed the shooter from behind as Moogalian rushed to help. As they all struggled for the weapon Moogilain was shot.
