Trump Was Right: On the Economy and the Border

These days, former President Trump is most likely getting tired of doing the “I told you so!” dance around his Mar-a-Lago club. While the media works overtime to protect Biden, the current administration still can not help themselves from handing Trump more wins and more political ammunition for 2024. Two cases in point are the teetering U.S. economy and the crisis on America’s southern border.

The greatest impact of President Biden’s economic agenda can be felt by every single American household that is now paying approximately $175 more per month for basic goods and services than they were 8 months ago. Inflation is up 5.3% as of August 2021 compared to the same time one year ago.

In June 2021, former President Trump appeared on Fox Business’ Varney & Co. show, where he outlined his worst fears of America under Biden. Trump expressed that he was “very worried” about the direction of America. He warned of “massive inflation,” which was “going to be rampant” and “very bad,” if Biden and the Congressional Democrats got their way.

“We had energy independence when I left [office]. Gasoline was $1.87, now it’s going to be double that. It’s going to be triple and quadruple that,” Trump told show host Stuart Varney by phone. Indeed, the national average of the price of gas is $3.288 as of this writing, nearly double, as Trump astutely predicted.

“Food prices, everything, lumber for a house is up at a level that it’s never been, so it costs much more for housing. It’s inflation,” Trump told Varney.

“I used to spend $70 a week, but all of sudden this summer, I noticed that I couldn’t leave the store without spending at least $120,” education worker Allison says, according to the New York Post.

On immigration, things are even more bleak for everyone living in Biden’s America.

When Trump was preparing to leave office in December 2020, the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) reported 40,565 Southwest border crossings. Under President Biden, the USBP reported 208,887 crossings at the Southwest border in August 2021. That’s more than 4 times as many people crossing the border than when President Trump left office a mere 8 months ago.

As the Biden border crisis continues unabated, Biden has not visited the border to see the carnage firsthand. In fact, he hasn’t visited the border in over a decade, leading RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to make the point that “his policies show it” in a recent op-ed penned in The Hill. In an ironic twist, Biden laid into Trump on the campaign trail over his immigration policies, particularly deportations and entry refusal, as his administration is now defending those practices-mostly because they now know that Trump was right, and it worked.

While it appears that President Biden is trying to have his cake and eat it too, the American people can see through the President’s words as compared to his deeds. President Biden’s job approval rating has now fallen to 44%, down from 55% in July, according to Pew Research Center’s latest poll (Sept. 13-19, 2021). Clearly, Trump was right about a lot of things, especially the economy and the Biden border crisis.

Donald Trump, since the beginning, blamed China for the pandemic and said Sars-Cov-2, which causes the coronavirus disease, leaked from the Wuhan laboratory.

Former US president Donald Trump on Thursday reiterated his stance that coronavirus originated from a laboratory in China’s Wuhan and called for imposing a fine on the Asian country for the "death and destruction" it has caused. "Now everyone, even so-called "enemy", are beginning to say that President Trump was right about China virus coming from Wuhan Lab,” Trump said in a statement, according to news agency ANI.

Trump, since the beginning, blamed China for the pandemic and said Sars-Cov-2, which causes the coronavirus disease, leaked from the Wuhan laboratory. In March 2020, he referred to the virus as the 'China virus' calling the country out for the global health crisis.

“The correspondence between Dr Fauci and China speaks too loudly for anyone to ignore China should pay USD 10 trillion to America, and the world, for the death and destruction they have caused!” Trump also said in his statement as he referred to top US infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci.

This comes after private emails of Fauci were released to the press that sparked off the claims of the virus originating from the Wuhan lab. More than 3,000 pages of emails, dated from January to June 2020, were obtained by the Washington Post, Buzzfeed News and CNN via the requests of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

The revealed emails detailed that the top US expert and his colleagues noted, in the initial days, that Covid-19 may have leaked from the lab in China.

Last week, President Joe Biden announced that he has given fresh orders for further US intelligence probe into the origin of Covid-19, the report of which should be submitted in 90 days.

The virus leak from the lab theory has evolved from scepticism and entered mainstream conversations. Fauci has even demanded China release medical records of the Wuhan lab workers, who got sick in 2019. He said those records might aid in the in-depth exploration of the theory.

"I would like to see the medical records of the three people who are reported to have got sick in 2019. Did they really get sick, and if so, what did they get sick with?" Fauci asked.

However, Chinese officials and scientists continue to reject the lab leak theory, saying that the virus was present in other regions before it hit Wuhan in 2019.

President Trump named Operation Rescue Pro-Life Person of the Year

April 2018 – President Donald Trump was selected by Operation Rescue to receive the Malachi Award, designating him OR 2017 Pro-Life Person of the Year. The annual award recognizes people who perform outstanding work protecting the lives of the pre-born.

OR president Troy Newman commended President Trump for having the courage to keep his campaign promises to provide greater protection for the pre-born and work to deny federal funds to abortion providers.

In fact, Newman declared that Trump has already accomplished more for the pro-life agenda than any previous president.

“We are proud of President Trump and his bold willingness to advance the cause of life,” said Newman. “There are more battles ahead, but under the Trump administration, we can now finally see progress within our government toward restoring the sanctity of life and the protections of personhood to the pre-born.”

Above, in January, President Trump was the first president ever to address the annual March for Life, a peaceful, pro-life demonstration that has been held for 45 years in Washington, D.C.

Hmm, was he right about Covid magically disappearing last year in the spring with some warmer weather? Was he right to reassure the American people that the pandemic was all under control during press briefings while being on record for admitting he was deliberately downplaying the seriousness of it?

Rhetorical questions really...
