Ooooo, only 5?
I would pick the ones that I never get tired of.
There are certain movies that while flicking through channels, if it is on, I will stop and watch it again no matter how many times I've seen it before.
Most of the others I will just say, "Ahh, it was good but I've already seen it", so I pass it by.

1) Last of the Mohicans
2) Forest Gump
3) Gone with Wind
4) Smokey and the Bandit
5) The Cowboys (staring John Wayne)

Those come to mind, but if I think on it longer I may scratch one in favor of another.
But I would be perfectly content with those above.

If the soil is fertile, then "How to Eat Fried Worms" should be one DVD, for sure.

1. Braveheart
2. Snatch
3. Lonesome Dove
4. Team America, World Police
5. True Grit, the newer.

Do I get a TV and a DvD player? If I only get the DvDs, that will change my selection.

Hard decision....

I think mostly comedies because those are the types of movies that I can watch over and over most easily. If I'm stuck on an island I would want something to lift my spirits.

1) Hoodwinked
2) Ice Age 1
3) Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery
4)LOTR: ROTK.....not a comedy but I gotta include something from that trilogy
5) Father of the Bride

Some close calls for more non-comedies
....Roadhouse......Tombstone

I just realized that this isn't restricted to movies.....in that case I'd definitely consider some TV shows.

Home Improvement
Simpsons (early seasons)
Family Guy (early seasons)

Nr.5 kind of sticks out :chuckle: It is there for two reasons:

1) Maybe the funniest movie I have seen.
2) Who doesn't love Arnold?

Nr.4 also sticks out a bit. It is there because it is the best feel good movie ever and it is an old school animated movie with beautiful hand drawn backgrounds. I guess I will need one of those if I'm stuck on an island :rain:
