Bob Enyart explains the biblical principles involved in our judgment that Jussie Smollett should be charged with a hate crime. That is, after beating himself up and sending himself to a pretend hospital with pretend broken ribs, still wearing a necktie, and carrying his meatball sandwich. (He should also be charged with commiting homosexual acts, but that's a topic for a show next week.) So, charge him with the same crime (as the Bible teaches; see www.kgov.com/crime) that he sought, by his false testimony, to put onto others. Smollett shared his detailed account of the alleged attack in a Thursday morning interview on "Good Morning America," in which he rejected reports that he said he told police the attackers wore Make America Great Again hats.
"I never said that," he said. "I didn't need to add anything like that. They called me a f****t, they called me a n****r. There's no which way you cut it. I don't need some MAGA hat as the cherry on some racist sundae."

Smollett’s music manager, Brandon Z. Moore, told ABC News that he was on the phone with Smollett when he was attacked. Moore said he heard the words "MAGA country" being used.
