Why is it the globalists don't want Africa to enjoy the prosperity and America and the west has enjoyed? Are they afraid the third world will rise to such wealth that they won't be able to be controlled by the small wealthy cohort that is typically found at the Davos summit?

You guys really don't get it. The problem is the USA especially, uses too many resources. If everyone uses as many resources as wastefully we do, there's not enough to go around. It's not that the left doesn't want the third world to do better, but we have to figure out how to use resources in a way that is sustainable and from this 2013 article . . . find renewable energy to avoid our polluting outcomes.

Africa is one of the most diverse continents on Earth, represents about a seventh of the human population, more countries than any other continent, a diverse set of religions, and a lengthy and sometimes frought history. You simply can't sum it up in one sentence. There are enormous problems in some places, and also some real success stories. It's just unfruitful for people who've never been there to condescend to the entire continent while ignoring their own roll in the bad thing they criticize.
