Sixth month of what?"And in the sixth month" (Luke 1:26)
It's pretty well known that the actual birth of Jesus was likely in late September or early October of the Gregorian calendar. If Mary became pregnant in the sixth month that precludes a December birth.
Jesus said, "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him." (John 4:23)
Sixth month of what?
It does not say "sixth month of the year".The sixth month of the year. Passover is in the first month.
It does not say "sixth month of the year".
It is far more likely to be talking about the sixth month of Elisabeth's pregnancy.
Incredibly childish post. Respond to what I posted.Of course, months are always counted from someone's pregnancy, right?
More childishness.I mean this is the twelfth month from someone's pregnancy.
Random Bible quotes are a BLAST! :banana:It could be someone named Elizabeth.
"This month shall be your beginning of months, it shall be the first month of the year to you."
(Exodus 12:2)
Only someone familiar with scripture would know this though.
From the CONTEXT, it is clearly talking about Elisabeth's pregnancy.
Hardly. Scripture says she secluded herself for five months.
Verse 26 is a change of subject from verse 25.
Try to keep up.
The entire passage is AND, AND, AND .... and yet you see a "subject change" and an "of the year" that is not there.
Which mistranslated version do you prefer? Probably the NIV, I'll bet.Try a different Bible version or are you KJV only?
