There is no a Left-Right division in America. Instead, it is centralized vs minimal government. In order to have a centralized government, each person must think identical, as the British communists chanted during WW2: 'One mind, one state, all equal.'

The LEFT in America is violent ? ROFLOL !!! The overwhelming majority of violent acts in America are committed by right-wing extremist groups . Violent acts by leftists are so rare as to be virtually non-existent .
The lunatic who shot several Republican congressmen , including the vicious anti-gay bigot Steve Scalise , was a complete and utter anomaly ! There is no one on the left remotely comparable to the KKK, the Neo-Nazis and other white supremacist organizations .
The left-wing extremist , politically correct lunacy you find on some but by no means all colleges and universities in America has not caused any actual violence against private citizens , and these are only a small number of people who are in no way typical of liberals and liberalism .
