IMPUTE: To attribute (a fault, crime, etc.)to a person; charge.
IMPUTATION: The act of imputing; accusation. That which is imputed or charged.
God can and will impute sin and righteousness, Romans 4:8.
There is nothing in the Bible about anyone being "infused" with righteousness. The word "Infused" does not appear in the Bible. As long as we are in these sinful Adamic bodies the righteousness of Christ is imputed to us. This means that it is to our account. We don't have it yet. We will receive the righteousness of Christ when Christ appears.
"When Christ who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with him in glory" Colossians 3:4.
Until then we have to struggle with sin just like Paul did, Romans 7:13-25. If you don't have this struggle in your life you may not have the Holy Spirit because..."The flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would" Galatians 5:17.
Because Abraham believed God his faith was counted unto him for righteousness, Romans 4:3. "Abraham being fully persuaded that, what God had promised, he was also able to perform and therefore IT WAS IMPUTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him, but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences and was raised again for our justification" Romans 4:21, 22, 23, 24, 25.
Faith in Christ and his Gospel brings imputed righteousness. We hear the Gospel, we believe the Gospel and our faith is counted for righteousness and the righteousness of Christ is imputed to us.
What about the lost? In the judgment if God does not see you "In Christ" your sins will be imputed to you and you will be condemned. For now, God sees ALL THINGS in his Son Jesus Christ, Colossians 1:20. However, when Christ appears there will be judgment of unbelievers, Hebrews 9:27.
The Christians judgment has already taken place in Christ. This is why Paul said, "I have been crucified with Christ" When Christ died, we died with him. When Christ arose from the dead, we arose with him. We are NOW new creations in Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17.
