It is because of God's holy, just, merciful, righteous character and nature that we can trust and believe in him. How can anyone trust in a God that does not posses these qualities?
It would not be possible to have saving faith in a God that is not holy, just, merciful and righteous in all that he says and does. God always keeps his word. His promises are like gold. All of the promises that God made to Israel were fulfilled in Jesus Christ, Acts 13:23. God always keeps his promises.
God has promised that all who believe in his Son Jesus Christ will inherit eternal life.
"In whom you also trusted, after you had heard the word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation: in whom after that you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13.
The Holy Spirit is God's mark of ownership. They have been bought with the blood of his Son Jesus Christ and now belong to God, Ephesians 1:7. He seals them with his Holy Spirit. They can never lose their salvation because they are "In Christ" and Christ is in heaven, Colossians 3:3.
It is not possible to have faith in a God that predestinates people to hell for no reason other than they were born after Adam. Everyone is a sinner without works. We are all born into sin, Psalm 51:5. God would not be just if he predestinated people to hell because they are sinners. The God of Calvinism is NOT the God of the Bible.
The God of the Bible... "Is not slack concernimg his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" 2 Peter 3:9.
God sends his only begotten Son into the world to atone for the sins of the world, 1 John 4:14 and to reconcile the world unto himself, 2 Corinthians 5:19. Because of the doing and the dying of Jesus, God is now able to extend his hand to all who will believe on his Son Jesus Christ and receive the forgivness of sins, Ephesians 2:8.
