God has always been gracious, even before Jesus. But now the grace of God is manifested to the whole world.

"But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets. Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by HIS GRACE through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ" Romans 3:21-24.

If you want to know how you are saved, you are saved by the grace of God. God saw the plight of fallen man and sent his "only begotten Son" into the world to atone for his sins and the sins of the world, John 3:16. It was man that sinned, it is man that should be crucified. But God sends his Son into the world to be crucified in our place and to atone for our sins. If you don't see the grace of God in that, its because you are spiritually dead.

Calvinism, Catholicism, all religions are anti-grace. Calvinist want you to believe that God is an unmerciful tyrant that delights in sending people to hell. Catholics believe that God is a taskmaster that will crack you on your back if you fail. Better tow the line or you are anathema.

Neither one of these religions know or understand the grace of God. To understand the grace of God is to understand the Gospel. Jesus comes into the world as our substitute and representative. His mission is to perfect our humanity through suffering and to take it back to heaven. Want to know where your salvation is at? It is in heaven at the right hand of God. In Jesus Christ we have been, justified, sanctified and redeemed, 1 Corinthians 1:30. If you want to glory in something, then glory in Christ, 1 Corinthians 1:31. He is the one that has secured our salvation.

All that Jesus did was for us. Jesus was not only God with us, Jesus was God for us. Jesus has literally earned our salvation for us. Want to be saved by works? It was the work of Jesus that saved and justified us. In the Gospel no one needs to be predestinated, nor does anyone need to Join the Catholic church. Paul makes it clear that salvation is by grace through faith.

"For by grace are you saved through faith; and not that of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast" Ephesians 2:8, 9.
