The effectual blood of Christ !

Jesus once said Matt 26:28

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Now many in false religion dont understand nor value the Blood of Christ, the Son of God, God Man, and what it actually does, accomplishes. They think that Christ just died, shed His Blood, and thats it, its now up to sinners to do something with it in order for it to accomplish the saving purpose of God. That is mans sinful thinking, the blood of Christ actually effects the saving purpose of God in Christ. #1. It effects remission of sins, or forgiveness of sins, for all the many it was shed for, no exceptions.

Remission of sins This can be said of every sinner Christ died for, shed His Blood for Eph 1:7

In whom we have redemption through[on the account of] his blood, the forgiveness/remission of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Col 1:14

In whom we have redemption through[on the account of] his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Now understand, Paul here in these two epistles is writing about the blood of the new covenant Jesus spoke of in Matt 26:28 !

And every sinner it was shed for, on account of that, they have received, the remission or forgiveness of sins ! The word for remission is the greek word aphesis and means:

  1. release from bondage or imprisonment
  2. forgiveness or pardon, of sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty

Every one Christ shed His Blood for has been released from the penalty of sin, which is death Rom 6:23

This release is not on account of their faith, their repentance, anything they did or did not do, but on account of Christ's Blood !

All whom Christ shed His Blood for have been delivered from the retributive wrath of God justly due for their sins.

Remember when Paul wrote this about the wrath of God Eph 5:3-6

    But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Them Christ died for, shed His Blood for, are forgiven of and released from the penalty of the very same sins, that the children of disobedience shall partake of the wrath of God for !

And its not because of their faith, their believing, or repenting, but solely upon the blood of Christ, its effectual like that with God !

Many never excludes the possibility of "all".

But the bible does include the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

So, considering the whole counsel of scripture we must conclude that Christ's propitiation was for all sin everywhere, bringing justification to all men (Romans 5:18.)

Invalid comment and evasive of point made with scripture!

Exactly, Brother !

Jesus Christ died a Covenant-Keeping death for all those He Represented as their Head and Surety in the New Covenant, or Everlasting Covenant of Grace. And what that all entailed is, Complete Satisfaction of God's Law and Justice, perfectly fulfilling all the conditions of Eternal Life for His Covenant People which were Chosen by God, in Union with Christ their Head, to be heirs of Eph. 1:4-11; Rom. 8:17. The same can be called the Children of Obedience whom God purposed in Eternity past that He was not going to impute sin upon this Elect World 2 Cor.5:19; Rom. 5:10. So, where there is no sin, there is no transgression 2 Cor. 5:21, but complete Justification before Him because of Christ's perfect Work of Obedience on their behalf.

Rom. 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Christ's Covenant People were made Righteous because of His Perfect Obedience, in His Life and Death, for each one of them!

[h=2]The effectual blood of Christ !2[/h]Now #2 It [The Blood of Jesus] effects an conversion to God ! Observe Heb 9:13-14

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

How much more shall the blood of Christ, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Thats right, the blood of Christ purges the conscience of every sinner it was shed for, from dead works, to serve the Living God !

If one does not come into a state of serving the true and living God, then Christ did not shed His Blood for them, its impossible, unless His blood failed to effect the purpose of God into bringing that one to serve God ! The word serve in Heb 9:14 is the greek word latreuō

  1. to serve for hire
  2. to serve, minister to, either to the gods or men and used alike of slaves and freemen
    1. in the NT, to render religious service or homage, to worship
    2. to perform sacred services, to offer gifts, to worship God in the observance of the rites instituted for his worship

Its the word worship Paul uses here Phil 3:3

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

This is what the Blood of Christ effected, the True worship of God in the Spirit. He fulfilled the will of the Father, when Jesus said this Jn 4:23-24

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God sought that worship and found it upon the shedding of the Blood of Christ. Thats why when Jesus ascended to the Right Hand of God, He received of the Father the Holy Ghost to pour upon the redeemed world He shed His Blood for Acts 2:33

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Te Holy Spirit in the name of Christ purged their conscience on the day of pentecost, from dead works, to serve the Living God !

The True worship and serving of God in Spirit and Truth is effected by the Blood of Christ !

Amen, the Blood of Christ redeemed His Seed Chosen In Union with Him Eph. 1:4-5; Heb. 2:16; Gal. 3:16 from the curse of the Law.

Gal.3:13-14
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

And this was the Promise:

Is. 44:3
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring [The whole World of God's Elect: not only Jews but also Gentiles 1 John 2:2]

Gal. 4:4-7
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them [by His Blood] that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Rom. 8:15-17
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
