This is one proposed treatment I will not be using. The side effects of SSRIs can be extremely bad.
I will say this about how much remaining calm in a tough situation helps. The stroke I had was a side effect of another problem. My kidneys just shut down one day and before they restarted my lungs had filled with fluids to the level of my armpits according to the doc. That made it extremely hard to breathe. Learning to stay completely calm and just accepting the difficulty breathing was a huge help, plus placing my trust in God reduced the strain on my heart enough to keep me alive until my kidneys restarted.
My stroke happened two days after I could breathe normally once again.
