Do you know Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah (Christ)? The word Messiah or Christ means anointed or anointed one. God's chosen or elect is Yeshua. Yeshua is God's servant, the Messiah of Israel and the whole world.

What do you know about Yeshua that can be demonstrated from the Bible? The Hebrew Scriptures, the TaNaKh (holy, sacred scripture), tell of one who would come. They speak of the coming of the new covenant. In Yeshua we have the fulfillment of both in His being the Messiah and bringing the new covenant.

Yeshua (the Hebrew name for Jesus) was a Jew. He is the Son of God but at the same time the son of Abraham (our father of faith), Judah (and thereby He is king), and Joseph (Jesus' earthly father is Joseph and Mary His (Jesus') mother was also of Judah). He lived during second temple times. The first temple was built during the time of Solomon. It was destroyed before the Babylonian captivity, but after 70 years of exile according to prophecy the Jews returned and the second temple was built. That temple was still standing during the time of Jesus' conception, birth, life, death, burial, resurrection, appearing, and ascension... all before it was destroyed in AD 70.

So Jesus did live in temple times.

He is Lord, Savior, and King. He died for us for the forgiveness of our sins and He rose from the dead proving power over death. God has in His Son granted us eternal life. This is for all who believe.

Jesus is God
I know this is not the only verse that says so, but what you have just said reminds me of (really is there any other option than what you have said if a person accepts all of scripture?) the following verse (a verse which is seen as a reference to Jesus and a declaration of who He is):

John 20:28 NASB - 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

Whatever a person believes about this verse, we know Jesus is not the Father (God) and that Jesus is the Messiah. Do you accept Him as the Messiah, sent of God? Jesus is the Son of God. He was sent by the Father. He was sent by God.

Matthew 10:40 NASB - 40 "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

Matthew 21:37 NASB - 37 "But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'

Mark 9:37 NASB - 37 "Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me."

Mark 12:6 NASB - 6 "He had one more to send, a beloved son; he sent him last of all to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'

Luke 4:18, 43 NASB - 18 "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME,BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR.HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES,AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND,TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, ... 43 But He said to them, "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose."

Luke 9:48 NASB - 48 and said to them, "Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great."

Luke 10:16 NASB - 16 "The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me."

John 3:34 NASB - 34 "For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure.

John 4:34 NASB - 34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.

John 5:23-24, 30, 36-38 NASB - 23 so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. 24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. ... 30 "I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. ... 36 "But the testimony which I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish--the very works that I do--testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me. 37 "And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form. 38 "You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.

John 6:29, 38-39, 44, 57 NASB - 29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." ... 38 "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. ... 44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. ... 57 "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.

John 7:16, 18, 28-29, 33 NASB - 16 So Jesus answered them and said, "My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. ... 18 "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. ... 28 Then Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, "You both know Me and know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. 29 "I know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me." ... 33 Therefore Jesus said, "For a little while longer I am with you, then I go to Him who sent Me.

John 8:16, 18, 26, 29, 42 NASB - 16 "But even if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone in it, but I and the Father who sent Me. ... 18 "I am He who testifies about Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies about Me." ... 26 "I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I speak to the world." ... 29 "And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him." ... 42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.

John 9:4 NASB - 4 "We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work.

John 10:36 NASB - 36 do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

John 11:42 NASB - 42 "I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me."

John 12:44-45, 49 NASB - 44 And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 "He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. ... 49 "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.

John 13:16, 20 NASB - 16 "Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. ... 20 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me."

John 14:24 NASB - 24 "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.

John 15:21 NASB - 21 "But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.

John 16:5 NASB - 5 "But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?'

John 17:3, 8, 18, 21, 23, 25 NASB - 3 "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. ... 8 for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me. ... 18 "As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. ... 21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. ... 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. ... 25 "O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me;

John 20:21 NASB - 21 So Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you."

I hope you are not trying to convince me with this OP. It is not exactly convincing.
I would love to discuss what you think about the OP and what you believe I am trying to convince you of. If the OP is not an attempt to convince you of something or of what you believe it is, what is the OP about then? What do you believe the OP is about, and do you have any objections?

Jesus is God the Son.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called

Wonderful, Counsellor,

If Jesus is God then Jesus is God the Son because Jesus is the Son of God.

I do not know if Isaiah 9:6 figures into this.

Zechariah 3:8-9
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. 9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

If we say God the Father we are referring to the same person as the Father of God.

Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God. Like Father, like Son.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. (Colossians 1:15 NKJV)

No other person has been born invisible. Jesus was born of his mother and born again in the image of the invisible God.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The Father of Jesus is God. God is the Father of Jesus. God is our Father. But Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. If Jesus is God and Jesus is not the Father, then there is a difference between the Father who is God and Jesus the Son who is God.

Yes indeed.
God as Jesus' Father and our Father though in a different way (none of us are begotten of God as Jesus was) means there are two ways of seeing the phrase or title "God the Father". One way is in the context of God's relationship to the Son. That is, because God had a Son He is God the Father. The Son being God makes the Son God the Son. And if a person has not heard of God the Son or the Son of God (who is God) they may still already see God as Father (each of us have God as our heavenly Father). This is different from God not being the Father of those who reject Him.

The thread is not about who is Jesus, but rather sharing Jesus as the Messiah with all we are able to reach. It is okay to talk about who Jesus is. I know I have responded to your statement about God being the Father.
