Shalom.

Today is Sheni, the second day of the week.

The second day of creation was as follows.

Genesis 1:6-8

Genesis 1:6-8 NASB 6 Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." 7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. 8 God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

The word for day is yom.

Shalom.

Shalom, the word yom is used in many, (many!), different ways.

Do you suppose that it took twenty-four hours, (or even twelve hours), for Elohim to speak those words of creation which you have quoted? If so then how is it that I can read the passage in less than a minute?

Inhale, exhale, ebbing, flowing, waning, waxing, evening, morning.

John 11:9 NASB - Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
