Time and time again when the topic of homeschooling is being discussed or criticized, one of the very first questions that comes up from the opposing parents is…
What about socialization?
My question is: How is segregating children by age with very little interaction with other adults, except their teacher(s), for 8 hours a day, five days a week somehow a healthy and effective way to learn how to socialize properly?
Further, what kind of "socializing" are kids learning from their peers at a godless government school?
Why do parents assume that public education has some magical formula for people to deal with the 'real world'? :idunno:
When people ask me about socialization, I say that this is the VERY reason WHY we don’t send our kids to public school.
Simple, sweet, and so true! :first:
