I think God loves us all and He sent His Son to die for all of us. But the choice is up to us on whether or not we want to be with Him. Love is not forced and God would never force us to choose Him. He desires that we choose Him though.
God is very patient but the patience does eventually end. He has prepared a place for those who do not desire to repent and accept His Son as their Savior. That place, Hell, is void of God.
So as far as God and unconditional love, I think it conditional in the end. It requires us to either repent and humble ourselves and realize we are sinners in need of a Savior, or we can just worship ourselves or some false notion of God and spend eternity alone, without God.
