I think Christians are too interested in 'experiences' rather than pursuing truth. Experiences are more exciting, therefore more appealing (to the flesh).
Faith is not experiences. Faith is taking God's Word over your own. Faith is the only thing that pleases God (Heb 11:6), so practicing faith daily is what we ought to be doing, not looking for some 'spiritual high'.
Go to church, read your bible every day, witness when given the opportunity, serve where needed - those are the experiences that God is looking for from his people.
