No, Jesus didn't use the word "Christian," but He sure was familiar with the word "disciple."
The word "Christian" is found only twice in the New Testament (King James), while the word "Christians" is found only once (again, in the KJV).
When Christians is used it is in the context of disciples:
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. (Acts 11:26 KJV)
With this in mind it can readily deduced that to be a true Christian, one must be a disciple, a student of Jesus Christ.
To those who would be His students, His disciples, Jesus said that they must do at least three things to be considered one (Luke 14:26):
[1] place their family relationships and their own life second to Him
[2] bear their cross
[3] follow Him
To the degree Ms. Williamson, or ANYBODY for that matter, is not placing their family and themselves second to God, not taking up their cross, and not following Jesus, they are not a disciple of Jesus Christ, and therefore not a Christian.
By definition a Christian is a disciple.
And as you have portrayed, its more than just a word.
It is an observable, definable committment. One that leads to our death, and His Life.
