One in six Brit's unable to buy food for two weeks

The Brit's are now facing starvation on a level none of the Brit's on this site would admit ever happening. I'm not dancing a jig about being correct though because this planned shortage will soon hit the US too. It's just that understanding what is facing the world's population is necessary to protect/hedge one's self to keep ourselves above water. If you are not preparing yourself/family before the situation becomes dire the suffering is going to be intense. The world has never before faced anything like this.

I bought one bag of groceries Friday and that one bag was $54. I could never have imagined such a thing even 5 years ago, and we are being warned that supply chain issues are going to be getting much worse.

Just normal vehicle maintenance issues are going to hurt the supply chain a lot. My neighbor has a really nice Ford 3/4 ton 4x4 diesel and had to take it in for minor engine repairs. That was weeks ago and the dealership cannot get the parts to repair it yet. Their first estimate for parts availability was 8 weeks for a head gasket which is a really common repair part. It's still at 8 weeks and the initial time estimate was 5 weeks ago.

Now imagine that type of scarcity of parts for a trucking company and how badly it will affect food availability. I've been told by people who know the industry that approximately 1 in 4 semis are now unavailable due to parts shortages on the west coast.

I remember engaging with I-durrr last year and explaining to him that his crappy little island nation imports most of its food, mostly from the United States.

He was more concerned with gossiping about the latest mainstream media attacks on my president.

Well, what can we expect from those who believe that anything that advances their agenda is moral. That is, once again, basic marxism.

Funny, I did a big supermarket shop a few days ago and stocked up for the month with no trouble at all. No empty shelves, no lack of essentials etc. Still, sensationalism and hyperbole sure does appeal to those fixated on stuff like that and the tabloid press has a field day with it as well.

Inflation is hitting the poorest Americans hard where it hurts. You should thank God you are not poor and having to deal with the rising costs brought on by democrat stupidity.

What 'agenda' would that be exactly? Being normal and not a conspiracy nut?
Government shutdowns of churches, schools, and businesses are just one mistaken policy that has resulted in very bad consequences. Biden's shuttering of fossil fuel development and consumption in America is also doing very bad things to the economy. Out-of-control democrat pork spending is also doing great harm to this country. And the list goes on.

I have to laugh as you deny everything your own media says. Anything just to contradict me. That I am that far inside your head is really amazing to me. Since it has never been a goal of mine to get inside your head, the fact that I'm so far inside of it amuses me.

I spent a couple of hours researching this before I posted about it. Not a single UK news organization contradicted what I said. They all said the same thing I quoted. So if you want to make the claims you made show the stories that contradict me or you got nothing believable.

Hmm, that you continually stress that you're supposedly 'inside my head' is - to coin a phrase from another bat crazy crank on here - "confession through projection" although this time it fits and funny to boot.

Otherwise, it's just your usual hyperbole, overblown and wrought out as ever. There are shortages in certain areas and some stocks are lacking but I can go to my local supermarket, shop up on stuff and even the local shop and don't have to worry about food and the like. Get a grip and do some research outside of wingnuts.com.

I see. No evidence.

I only found confirmation of my post on the Guardian, Sky, Metro, BBC. Aljazeera. Inews, Independent, ABC, CNBC, CNN, Yahoo, nzherald, Sun, and more. As you can see they are all "right wing nut job" sites. The extents to which you will go to try to insult me and deny what is a broad cross section of the sources you accept is just amazing. Yup, I'm clearly a long ways inside your head.

Um,your OP was simply overblown and overwrought, as per usual with you. Supermarkets are hardly unstocked with empty shelves galore as you seem to think. Are there shortages in certain areas? Yes, as stated in my previous but not to the levels that seem you to want to believe. If there were then why would I lie about it? I'd be concerned if there was no or little food in the shops, of course I would be but that isn't the case. There was more of a concern at the start of the pandemic where panic buying was rife and bread, toilet rolls, canned goods and sanitisers were actually in short supply. Thankfully that didn't last long when common sense prevailed. You can believe what you want, you will anyway and also, get over yourself goofball. You ain't in anyone's head let alone mine. This is a public forum and you're just some anonymous crank on the internet AFAIC.

Leftists are not backing down. Hospitals are being forced to close, airlines are cancelling flights, police departments are having to lay off half their force, and more because leftists refuse to repent of their vaccine mandate stupidity.

You live there, I'll take your word for it over yet another doomscroller's.

Reminds me of all the right-wingers warning about the no-go areas in London, and actual Londoners coming back with, "I live here, and you [random reader of a xenophobic conspiracy site] don't know what the heck you're talking about..."

Every time you abuse an apostrophe, I'm reminded of you saying you used to tutor students in English.

Also, being "unable to buy an essential food item" =/= "starvation" at any level you conjure up. I too was unable to buy an "essential food item" last time I went shopping. That doesn't mean I wasn't able to buy food.

As contrasted with, say, the Einsteinian brilliance of refusing a safe vaccine for a hyper-contagious disease that poses a significant threat to health?
Just because fearful humans are desperate to believe a vaccine can protect them from sickness and death does not mean the first batches of medicines that come along will actually do the job. What is really bad is trying to force the whole nation to take the risky medicines without question simply because the fearful have developed the silly idea that the reason a medicine is not yet working is because everybody has not yet taken it.

Londoners may have adapted to leftist living, but that does not mean they all like it. For example, some may support the immigration of terrorists and suffer great harm as a result but that does not dampen their zeal to try to appear to the world as being open-minded and tolerant.

Communism creates food shortages where no food shortages would exist if not for communism.

A recent YouGov survey found that 19 percent of millennials hold favorable views of Communism, compared with only 4 percent of baby boomers. In its “Red Century” series, the New York Times celebrates Communism’s supposed progressive virtues. “For all its flaws,” said one writer, “the Communist revolution taught Chinese women to dream big.”

One of Communism’s “flaws” is its death toll, which runs in the tens of millions. Political persecutions like those of Joseph Stalin in the Soviet Union are well known. But many have forgotten the deaths, intended and unintended, from mass starvation. During the twentieth century, approximately 70 million people perished from famine. That most famine deaths happened in Communist regimes is no accident: centrally planned food-procurement systems often fail, leading to food shortages and privation.
