In the Lincoln memorial, according to the National Park Service, we see that Lincoln represents fascism as it is, once again to the Park Service, the symbol of liberty as all round the monument are fasces topped by American eagles. Fasces symbolize the "right" of government to punish whatever, and whoever, it doesn't like. It's a symbol of the slavery of the people to their government.
This was put in place by the "elites" with their love of all things fascist, socialist, and communist in the 1900s, as all three ideologies are based upon the same idea. It's reflective of how academia, the government, and the captains of industry have seen we the people for more than 100 years.
