That guy is a total liar. Domestic production was substantially higher before the pandemic hit, and we could easily get back up to pre-pandemic production levels if oil companies would just get back to what they were doing before, with no new pipelines required.

Oil companies cannot get back to where they were before because Biden has closed the door to freedoms from governmental regulation oppression, freedoms formerly experienced under Trump. Don't be gullible. Biden and his team of wild-eyed global warming terrorists are intent on destroying modern civilization by attempting to exchange oil for crap-in-the-wind fuel alternatives.

Biden has no intention of lowering gas prices at the pump. His intimate goal is eliminating gasoline from society altogether, and making gasoline 3 to 5 times more expensive will help force America to look to alternative fuels, no matter how crappy they are.

Notice that the price of oil is dropping, but the price of gas is holding. Price gouging?

No. The market is very competitive and efficient. When retailers need more volume they'll adjust prices in time. In the meantime people are acting a little irrational at the pumps now anyway, it's not exactly pressure right now coming from gasoline consumers, we're all just filling up wherever we can, once we start to 'settle down' so will prices.

Only a borderline imbecile believes with Biden that high gas prices in the US are Putin's fault, not the fault of insane global warming policies attempting to drive fossil fuels out of existence.
What exactly has Biden done to prevent petroleum companies from bringing domestic production of oil back up to pre-pandemic levels? Tell us!

I believe he shut down leases on federal lands, increased oppressive regulations on drilling operations making it harder for oil companies to drill new wells, increased restrictions on pipelines, and shut pipelines down so even if new wells could be drilled they would have no way to get the oil to market, and so forth.

Did oil companies have those pipelines before? No. Were they drilling on those federal properties before? No. So what is preventing oil companies from going back to doing what they were doing before the pandemic? Nothing.

If you want to believe democrat policies designed to eliminate fossil fuels are not hurting tens of millions of suffering Americans then just believe whatever you like.
