The person asking Jesus was a Jew and the new Covenant had not yet been established (Jesus had not yet died and been resurrected) so the law was still applicable. Why do you make your point with verses from John, you said before the book of John is illegitimate and then using 1 John, when you claim everything past matthew mark and luke, when youve claim all those illegitmate also - means you only believe verses you like.
