Nothing Wrong

1. Scriptures say that God PREDESTINATED people to be "in Christ". Arminians disagree.

2. Scriptures say that Jesus died for all men without exception. Calvinists disagree.

But there's NOTHING wrong with either 1 or 2, is there?

People interpret the scriptures to mean what they want them to mean. And then they proclaim their interpretations to be the absolute unquestionable truth of God. It's just arrogance and self-righteousness masquerading as insight and wisdom.

Nope, rightly dividing is not arrogance or self righteousness, it's simply reading for information. MAD gets it right

NAS Ephesians 1:5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will

NIV 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

I simply believe what the verses above say. I don't think there's arrogance nor self-righteousness involved, is there?
