I think the teen age years were the best with my kids. I hate the pageants. Little girls should get their self worth from a father who gives them value because they are a person not a show piece. Parents are the number one biggest influence on their kids. They will become what you show them to be. Kids hate hypocrits, and that's what most of us parents are. We say don't drink, and then we party like a fiend and wonder why our kids sneak behind our backs and party. You put a little girl in a show like the ones you mentioned and you show her that that is where her self worth is from. There is always a loser.
Kids find their self worth in how their parents value them. Kids spell love T.I.M.E. both quantity and quality. Not one or the other.
